We have compiled a list of some of the most beautiful regions around Sydney to visit this Easter long weekend, from ‘glamping’ in the bush to a beautiful rainforest escape. These luxurious getaways will guarantee you a weekend of relaxation, indulgence and the best views you’ll ever see.

BYRON BAY

If you’re after a weekend of deep relaxation set away from the hustle and bustle of city life, then The Byron is theultimate escape for you. When you arrive, you’ll fall in love with the surrounding natural beauty, beautiful decor and super calming atmosphere. The resort is set on over forty-five acres of rainforest, and home to an abundance of native animals and birds – making it perfect for you earth-lovers! During your stay, you can kick off each morning with a yoga class on their spa deck and spend the rest of the day indulging in spa treatments, going for a dip in the luxury infinity pool or even take their self-guided meditation walk through the forest. Indulge in the tranquility and experience the beauty of Byron Bay, in style.

WHALE BEACH

For something a little closer to home, head over to Jonah’s on Whale Beach which sits right in the heart of Sydney’s Northern Beaches. With a 180-degree view of the Pacific Ocean, this is the perfect getaway for the beach lovers and those who love to just spend their days soaking up the sun. Each room here has a private spa, an incredible ocean view and is decked out in ultra-luxe and minimalist decor which sets the perfect tone for relaxing and winding down. But, one of my favourite things about this spot is their extensive wine list which features over 1600 different wines! So order in a bottle of vino (or two), pop into your private spa and enjoy the sun set over the ocean for the ultimate lazy weekend.

THE HUNTER VALLEY

The Hunter Valley is the perfect destination for a fun girls’ weekend or a romantic getaway for two. Being one of Australia’s best known wine regions and home to over 150 premium wine producers, what better way to spend your weekend than to wind wine down in style at Lilies’ Luxury Retreat. This beautiful spot has a rustic yet modern feel, which adds a really cosy vibe, and offers a breath-taking view of the Hunter Valley landscape. It is in the perfect location to go explore nearby vineyards, restaurants and other local attractions. Make sure you try out their Indulgence or Romance packages to really treat yourself with massages, cheese platters and scenic helicopter flight over the region.

THE BLUE MOUNTAINS

For an ultra-luxe but also eco-friendly experience of the Blue Mountains, you need to head to the Emirates One&Only Resort Wolgan Valley. This conservation-based spot is less than three hours from Sydney and occupies one percent of the 7,000-acre nature reserve in the Greater Blue Mountain World Heritage Area. It is set in the remoteness of the Wolgan Valley floor, where you’ll get to enjoy the tranquility of the local wilderness. To explore the area, guests can go horse-riding, mountain-biking or even bushwalking. For those that would rather stay in, be wrapped up in a robe and get pampered… you can treat yourself to their luxurious spa and wellness facilities. If you want to relax in extra solitude, make sure you stay in one of their suites where you’ll have your very own outdoor plunge pool! (Image credit: Carrier, Melting Butter)

JERVIS BAY

This is one of the coolest places you will ever stay at! Paperbark Camp is one of Australia’s first green “glamping” destinations and provides the ultimate safari-like experience. They’re mission is to promote ecologically sustainable tourism that not only showcases the beauty of our environment, but also focuses on protecting it through an eco-friendly approach. Your camping experience will reach a whole new level of luxury, while still keeping in touch with nature. At your campsite, you’ll be surrounded by the beautiful wilderness of the bush and also have direct access to the sandy white beach and pristine waters of Jervis Bay. It is only 2.5 hours south of Sydney, but time will fly on your drive down as you’ll get to enjoy the most incredible scenery during your journey! This is the ultimate “glamping” destination for all of my fellow earthlings. (Image credit: Eat Read Love)
