We have landed in the Philippines!
Our first destination is the Discovery Shores luxury resort, which rests on one of the best beaches in the world.
It’s hard to explain the feeling when you leave the bustling street’s of Boracay and walk through the resort onto the pristine White Beach. The front and the back of the resorts are completely contrasting. Boracay is wonderfully wild with a million things to look at every given moment, whilst the beach at the back is tranquil, peaceful and looks upon the most breathtaking sunset.
After traveling for so long, the first thing we did was ditch our shoes and go for a long walk along the beach. The sand was pure white powder and the water was perfectly clear, turquoise and surprisingly warm.
The first thing you will notice about the resort is the exquisite architecture. It is modern, luxurious and sets the perfect tone for a relaxing vacation.
The resort features eighty-seven luxurious guest suites and an incredible selection of restaurants and bars. There’s nothing quite like eating a beautiful dinner with your toes in the sand while watching the sun go down in a spectacular array of colours. And Discovery Shores certainly make the most of their beachfront location by setting the Indigo restaurant outside amongst the palm trees.
The Terra Wellness Spa is absolute luxury. Terra, being the latin word for ‘Earth’ sets the tone for the natural mood and environment. It has been voted the number one hotel spa in Asia by the Travel and Leisure World’s Best Awards and is an absolute must when staying at Discovery Shores.
This resort was the perfect introduction to the Philippines as we were walking distance to the Boracay Town centre, there was lots to see and do.
Discovery Shores is approximately a 30 minute drive from Caticlan Airport and rests on the beautiful Boracay Island, home to some of the most tropical, dreamy and white beaches in the world.
